Privacy Notice

Keelbase is a boat maintenance and crew operations platform. For questions about this notice or your personal data, contact us at privacy@keel-base.com.

• Account data: email address, hashed password, account creation date.
• Profile data: full name and, if voluntarily provided, date of birth.
• Role and access data: whether your account is crew or admin, which fleet and boats you belong to.
• Operational data: maintenance tasks, service records, shopping requests, race suggestions and other content you enter into the platform.
• Technical data: session cookies, error logs and aggregated performance metrics collected by our hosting provider (Vercel) and error monitoring tool (Sentry).

• Contract: processing your account data, profile and role data is necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests: error monitoring, security logging and aggregated performance metrics to keep the service secure and operational.
• Consent: analytics cookies (Vercel Analytics). You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Account and profile data is kept while your account is active. If your account is removed by a fleet admin, your personal data is deleted from our systems. Operational records (tasks, service history) may be retained by the fleet admin as part of boat maintenance records. You may request deletion at any time — see "Your rights" below.

• Supabase (Ireland/EU): database and authentication hosting.
• Vercel (USA):web application hosting and analytics. Data transfers to the USA are covered by Vercel's Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Sentry (EU region): error monitoring. Only technical error data is sent — no personal profile data.
• Resend (USA): transactional email delivery for account verification, password resets and service/task reminders. Your email address is shared to deliver these messages; transfers to the USA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.

We do not sell or share your personal data with advertising networks or any third party for commercial purposes.

You can turn off non-essential service and task reminder emails from your account settings or the unsubscribe link in any reminder. Essential account emails (verification and password reset) are always sent.

We use an essential authentication cookie to keep you signed in, and Vercel Analytics to monitor page performance using privacy-friendly aggregated metrics. See our Cookie Notice for full details.

If you are based in the EU or EEA, you have the following rights:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: correct inaccurate data via your account settings or by contacting us.
• Erasure: request deletion of your account and personal data. You can do this from Settings → Delete account or by emailing us.
• Restriction: ask us to pause processing your data while a dispute is resolved.
• Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Object: object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent: withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@keel-base.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

We will update this notice when we change how we process data or add new service providers. Material changes will be communicated via the platform or email before they take effect.
